Guster

Guster is one of the most interactive live bands in a while.  I have never had the privlege to see them myself, but a close friend of mine has multiple times. Notably, he said, Guster decided to be part of the crowd and their gear was set up in the middle of the concert.  They love doing things like this to keep everyone excited.  They act so happy-go-lucky that you can't help but love them.  Sometimes to keep messing with the crowd, drummer Brian Rosenworcel will often play his trap set COMPLETELY with his hands.  I have played with a few drums and let me tell you that getting a good sound by hitting a snare with your hands is not only hard, but hurts like the devil if you do it for an entire set.

The quality of Guster's studio albums is incredible.  Its easiest to see in Guster's album "Lost and Gone Forever," produced by Steve Lillywhite, who you guys should check out.  The clarity in the harmonies opens up a new level for soft sounds.  For Guster's first two albums - which were re-released - take on a really light sound. Even on some of their darker songs, there is always a little positive feel to them.  So check out Guster and buy an album! I recommend "Keep it Together".
